High Sierras
walk into the mountains
and you may find
what was never lost
only left behindin the hush of peaks and open sky
the soul remembers how to rise

Ascent
i sit on top of Half Dome and write, of all the divine beauty in sight smooth ivory granite shapes the land, radiating light i cannot understand up and over cascading falls i roam, beneath starry skies that feel like home

Reverence
as the sun rises, the mountains glow, a warmth only the heavens know i raise my hands toward the sky above, seeking meaning, seeking love only the Most High can create such beauty to witness it is our quiet duty
